New Yorker Magazine has a lengthy piece about the fall of NBC's "Today Show." After sixteen years of ratings dominance, "Good Morning America" is now number one. Much of the blame is landing on "Today Show" co-host Matt Lauer. Regardless, there's no question the train-wreck that occurred with the unceremonious dumping of Ann Curry has damaged the show's image and ratings, along with Lauer's "nice guy" appeal.
If you want to know how ruthless those who pose as left-wing do-gooders really are, here is a fascinating anecdote:
When Robin Roberts left Good Morning America a month later to get treatment for MDS, Curry asked NBC if she could tweet a note of sympathy for the ABC co-host. NBC said no, afraid she was trying to aid the enemy.
